The Portfolio of Joyce Hobby aka "Bumbles"

I like doing abstract art because it speaks to people more about themselves than realistic art does. Realistic art says "This is what I am." Abstract art says "Hi, How are you? How are you feeling today?" I am not against realistic art at all. I am just very picky about the subjects. I'd rather spend time with creating a very talkative abstract peice. Abstracts can speak loudly or softly. They know when to shout, "Hey you" and when to whisper. They are actually quite intelligent."
